In my ongoing effort to help build a resilient and supportive community, I'm setting up this buying club program. Thank you for wanting to be a part of it!
This is a neighbor-run program, not a store, so a few ground rules keep it working smoothly for everyone. Please read this and check the box below before you can request anything.
How this works. When enough of us chip in to reach a case size, I place one order with Hummingbird Wholesale and let everyone know. By requesting a quantity here, you're committing to actually buy that amount once the order comes in, not just browsing.
Payment. Once an item is ready to order, I'll notify everyone the weekend before. Payment needs to be in by Sunday evening, and I'll place the order with Hummingbird on Monday. I add a small fee based on your order total: $2 for orders between $1 and $100, $4 for orders between $101 and $200, and $6 for orders $200 and above. This fee covers my time and gas expenses for organizing and running this program. Thank you for understanding and supporting that!
Pickup. Pickup will be Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll let you know once your order is in, and we'll set up a time for you to come get it. Please bring your own containers for whatever you're picking up.
Please don't request more than you'll actually use, and don't resell what you order through this program. It's for you and your household.
If you can't make it, please let me know as soon as you can so I'm not left holding food nobody picks up. If someone repeatedly requests items and then doesn't follow through, I may need to remove them from the program.
Keep your contact info current. I need a real name and phone number I can reach you at, in case there's a question about your order.
Be kind. This is a small community effort I'm running on top of everything else I do. Please be patient and respectful with me and with your neighbors.
A couple of practical notes. Prices and availability come from Hummingbird Wholesale and can change slightly before an order goes in.
